Description

Day 1: Guwahati – Shillong (98 km/3 hours)
Welcome on arriving at Guwahati Airport for Shillong Cherrapunjii Tour Packages you will be greeted by AMT’s representative. After warm greetings start your journey to Shillong. While traveling we see the majestic Umiam Lake (Barapani) surrounded by sylan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies. Upon arrival at Shillong, check in at your hotel. Overnight stay in the hotel at Shillong.

Day 2: Shillong – Cherrapunjee
After scrumptious breakfast start your journey towards Cherrapunjee with lush green mountains viewing numerous waterfalls falling all over on route to Cherapunjeee. En-route visit, Shillong Peak &Elephant Falls, named after an Elephant like stone at its foot, the Elephant Falls are amongst the most popular falls in the North-East.Upon arrival at Cherrapunjee, visit Seven Sisters Falls & amazing Eco Park. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.

Day 3: Cherrapunjee Excursion
Early morning (5 AM) your journey to Double Decker Root Bridge, deep in the dense tropical forest of Meghalaya is must visit destination known for its numerous waterfalls. It’s 3000 step journey (Trek) down the hill and the trek starts from Tyrna Village (10 Kms from Sohra, Cherrapunjee). The aprox. time to complete the journey(both ways) is 5-6 Hrs. After returning from double decker Root Bridge, have lunch & then proceed to visit Nohkalikai Falls, the tallest plunge waterfall in India. Mawsmai Cave, Nohsngithiang Falls & Ramakrishna Mission Ashrama. Overnight stay in the hotel at Cherrapunjee.

Day 4: Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Today early morning, start your road journey to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’ in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy boat ride in the river. Later in the evening return to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 5: Shillong Sightseeing & Transfer to Guwahati
After morning breakfast check out from the hotel & visit Lady Hydari Park, Ward’s Lake Museum & Don Bosco Museum. Later we will drop you at the Guwahati Airport for your onward journey. Your arrival at the Guwahati Airport/Railway Station will mark the end of  Shillong Cherrapunjii Tour Packages & services of AMT with everlasting memories of Meghalaya.
