Description

Day 01: Guwahati – Kaziranga (200 kms/ 6 Hrs)
Welcome on arrival at Guwahati Airport/Railway Station for Northeast Tour Package. On arrival at the Airport/Railway Station you will be greeted by AMT’s representative. After warm greetings proceed to Kaziranga. Kaziranga holds third of world’s population of endangered Indian one-horned rhinoceros and also declared as a tiger reserve in 2006, holding the highest density of tigers in the world. After greetings proceed to Kaziranga. Reach Kaziranga by evening, check-in to your hotel & later visit nearby Tea Estate or spent some time at leisure. Overnight stay at Kaziranga Hotel.

Day 02: Kaziranga Safari
Early morning (5:30 am) explore central Range of Kaziranga National Park on Elephant Safari. Kaziranga not only famous for Rhinoceros but it also habitats The Asiatic Elephant, The Swamp Deer and the Asiatic Water Buffaloes. On return you can explore the eastern range on a jeep safari (optional). Later return to hotel followed by overnight stay at the hotel.

Day 03: Kaziranga – Shillong (230 Kms/ 6-7 Hrs)
After morning breakfast drive to Shillong, also called ‘Scotland of the East’ (100 km 3 hrs). En route visit Umiam Lake (Barapani), a manmade lake surrounded by sylvan hills and wrapped in the beauty of an assortment of green Khasi-pines and the azure blue skies, spend some time at Umiam Lake & you could do boating. Upon arrival at Shillong, check in to your hotel. In the evening you can visit the famous Police Bazar. Overnight stay in the hotel at Shillong.

Day 04: Shillong to Cherrapunjee (60 Kms)
After morning breakfast drive to Cherrapunjee, It is approximately 60 kms. It is credited as being the wettest place on Earth, although nearby Mawsynram holds that record now. Cherrapunjee acquire many exotic waterfalls and impressive limestone caves. Visit Dwan Syiem view point, Nohkalikai falls, Mawsmai caves, Eco park etc. after sightseeing night stay at Cherrapunjee.

Day 05: Cherrapunjee – Mawlynnong – Dawki – Shillong
Today early morning, start your road journey to Mawlynnong. Mawlynnong was awarded the prestigious tag of ‘Cleanest Village in Asia’ in 2003. Visit Root Bridge & Bamboo Bridge. After Mawlynnong, you will start your journey to border town of Dawki, a hidden paradise. The driver will keep getting you closer and closer to the Bangladesh plains which you had first spotted from Mawlynnong Village. Umngot River in Dawki is crystal clear & is considered one the cleanest rivers in India. You can enjoy boat ride in the river. Later in the evening return to Shillong for overnight stay.

Day 06: Shillong Sightseeing & Transfer to Guwahati
After a wholesome breakfast, start your day tour & visit Don Bosco Museum, Ward’s Lake & Air Force Museum. After lunch proceed to Guwahati. Upon arrival at Guwahati, we will drop you at the Airport/Railway Station for your onward journey. Your arrival at the Airport/Railway Station will mark the end of Northeast tour Package & services of AMT with everlasting memories of Northeast.
